Treasure Hunting Testimonies
Last Thursday the Treasure Hunting Team of four after prayer received Words of Knowledge that said the location was once again Factoria Mall, A couple walking a dog, Green shirt and green pants, Grey hair and grey scruffy beard, Relationship Issues, Divorce, Country Buffet and several other clues.
So we headed for the Mall and as we pulled up along side Country Buffet looking for a parking place I noticed two people in a wheel chair and a lady standing alongside them. The man in the wheel chair was wearing a green shirt and green pants! After parking the cars our team approached them and we introduced ourselves describing the treasure hunt with the belief he was God’s treasure. From there we began to ask him about his condition. He told us of years of suffering from MS. I encouraged him with God’s love and then we asked him if we could pray for him and he said yes. We prayed and began to bless him with words of healing and grace.
As I was ministering to him Mindy was drawn to the other person in the wheel chair, a lady whose countenance was low. She seemed to want prayer but was afraid to ask. Mindy leaned over to her and began to minister to God’s love. You could see her countenance lift as the Holy Spirit touched her. The woman who was standing beside the two in the wheel chairs initially had a very guarded look when we first walked up but had begun to soften as the Presence of the Lord began to settle in our midst. She asked us where we were from and where the church was located and then thanked us for the kind words. We give her a Prayforme@SRC card and encouraged her as well. After some more conversation we left trusting God with the seeds we had planted.
He says in Isaiah 55:11 :…so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
We headed over to the next location on the map which was Target. As we walked inside of Target from the mall entrance I felt we should walk back out and wait instead of walking through the store looking for more clues. After about 10 minutes or less we noticed a couple coming into the store from the outside entrance walking a dog! That was another clue. The man had grey hair and a grey scruffy beard wearing a green shirt! We began to head in there direction with out map and eventually approached them with the statement “excuse me sir, this may sound strange but we are on a treasure hunt and we think you might be our treasure?” He got real excited and said “I love treasure hunts, how can I help you!” I laughed and said well, we actually are hoping to help you and began to share our reason for approaching them and our clues. He then told us how today had been such a strange day. They had gone to dinner to celebrate their anniversary and that the food at the restaurant was so bad they couldn’t wait to get out. When they got to their car the vehicle would not start so he had to get a jump. In the process he had gotten his shirt dirty and so they had to go home and he put on another shirt which was green! He said meeting us only added to the uniqueness of the evening and what could this all mean? We began to share that God had highlighted them to us so He could bless and encourage them. They were grateful for that and began to tell us about there lives and how they had met and to describe a Christian couple who were friends which were having martial issues that were ending in a divorce. (Another clue) we mention the clue to them and that got them excited and agreed this was a divine appointment. We joined in prayer and prayed for their friends who were having the relationship issues as well as another friend they had mentioned who needed healing. After praying for their friends we had them join hands and we prayed for them and prophesied words of comfort and encouragement into their marriage.
There were thankful for the prayer and we were so excited that God had set this up so we could release His love and presence into there lives. Who would of thought we would of found a couple walking a dog in Target and the man wearing a green shirt, grey hair and grey scruffy beard but that is our God who knows everyone and knows how to connect us to them when we step out in faith and obedience to His leading. God is Good!
Come and join us next time we meet for another Treasure Hunt as we search for God’s Treasure.
Please note:
This week treasure hunt has been cancelled due to the Daley’s being on vacation. Join us on the following Thursday night on Sept 3rd for another night of sharing God’s love with those the Holy Spirit leads us to. There is no experience needed or required to do a Treasure Hunt just faith in God who can do what seems impossible to us. The Bible says in Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God”
Join us as God leads us to hidden Treasure He has called us to bless in His Name. We meet a 7:00pm sharp on Thursday in the Chapel of the Church for instruction and a short prayer before going out. Anyone is also welcomed to just come along and observe.
Blessings,
Greg
