Hello!

I am Rebekah Roddam, the new Youth Pastor at Seattle Revival Center. I am from Canada and have been in WA for the last 2 years. I grew up in a Christian home with my parents as pastors, In ministry, and have 3 other siblings.

Though I was known as the “black sheep” in the family, I was very curious about life and put myself in adventurous situations to learn from my experiences. I had a harder time during my youth and didn’t always find myself in the best of situations with my friends. It was hard to live out what I was taught and what I felt God reveal to me since I struggled with who I was in Christ and lacked boldness to stand firm in my giftings.
I did a DTS with YWAM Orlando and had a powerful encounter with God in Egypt. I desired to have Him be known by all; His power, His love, His ability to overcome all adversities. From there I hungered for a place to pour truth into people, to show them they are accepted and loved and that there is hope, because we have faith in God.

Throughout the years I have been told to dream, and dream big, since I have the heart of God for His people. I am very excited about working with the youth because I’ve always wanted to be used by Christ to raise up a generation that worships the Lord in Spirit and in Truth; to be a model and example of Christlikeness. I want to walk in faith and see others follow, worshiping and praising the Lord, no matter what surrounds, threatens or discourages us; I want to see a people who rest in the Lord, trusting in His Word, decrees and statues; and develop and equip a generation that surpasses me and stands the test of time in Christ Jesus.
The time is now and I do not want to miss the main event. It isn’t and it won’t be easy times but God continues to assure that we NEED to keep our eyes on Him no matter what because He is enough. Jesus has conquered all! We have received His Spirit and so are able to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine as we allow Him to move through us.

As we are filled up and see the power of God at work, I desire to see us pour what we have received into all those we encounter throughout our daily lives.

May God bless you and keep you always!

Rebekah

I deal with the same fears when I blog. I am so scared that pride is going to get in the way of glyrofiing God. I'm not a big blogger and don't have a big following, but have considered turning off my comments just so that awaiting those comments isn't an issue. Are giving your talents and gifts to God, expecting His power to be seen through them?See I think with this statement I probably need to pray more about what I write. I write for Him but is His power being seen through them?Michelle s last [type] ..
